The Neurologist Behind the Movement
Dr. Nita Chen, M.D.
After graduating from medical school at Albany Medical College in New York, she completed her general neurology residency at University of California, Irvine. To expand her special interest in movement disorders, she completed two additional years of fellowship at the University of Florida.
In 2024, Dr. Chen returned to California and created a concierge neurology practice that is the first of its kind. She believed in a program that empowers patients and their loved ones to take back their quality of life through completely personalized treatment plans. As a division of Newport Concierge Physicians, she utilizes a truly unique and collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to provide individualized care programs that create echoing and expansive impacts for patients and their families. Through her concierge neurology program, her patients also have access to world class medical and specialty care, with Dr. Chen leading the team.

Her desire is to preserve the quality of life for her patients on their terms, for as long she can. Patients have rediscovered their passions and hobbies they once thought were lost because of their disease. They have been given the confidence to pursue dreams such as extended international travel, gardening, race car driving, performative arts, and more. This level of care has proved that patients are more than their disease label. They continue to redefine what quality of life and care means to them as they charge forward with conviction backed by their trust in Dr. Chen and her team.
